What is the refund policy?

The final day for refunds is March 26th, 2021.

Is there a dealers den?

Yes. There will be a dealers den. We are deciding on the exact location on site and the number of dealers we will have space for. There will be an option to register as a dealer during registration. This has no extra charge.

Are babies allowed at the con?

Babies will only be allowed on a day pass with a parent. There are also no baby change spaces on site. We would prefer that all babies and toddlers are toilet trained and out of nappies.

Is there an age restriction on the con?

Weekend passes are restricted to attendees 18 and over. Day passes will be available to all, however, there will be some restrictions:

  • Those that are 16-17 will be allowed on site without a caregiver.
  • Those under 16 will require supervision by a legal guardian at all times.

If you provide false information, or try to circumvent the listed restrictions you will void your registration and be asked to leave the site immediately.

What will happen in the case of a Covid-19 outbreak?

In the situation that we have another outbreak of Covid-19 that prevents Southern Paws from happening we will provide a full refund of the event tickets to all guests attending. We will not cover other costs such as transport or accomodation before or after the con.

How are payments handled?

All payments will be done by bank transfer. Once your order is approved, we’ll send you payment details.

Do I have to pay right away?

You don’t have to pay right away when you create your order. You’ll need to have your payment completed by April 2nd, 2021 - but sooner is better.

Accommodation and Facilities

What are the options for accommodation?

We have two main options.

Standard Accomodation means staying in a room with two or five other people. You can tell us who you want to be with, and if you’d like a big or small room.

Bunkroom Accomodation is cheaper. You’ll stay in one big shared bunkroom with all other people who have picked this option. You can’t choose who you want to be with.

Can you request specific people in your room?

Yes, you will be able to, but we do not guarantee that you will get those requests. If you’re staying in a cabin, you will be emailed before the event to confirm your room allocations.

If you are staying in a bunkroom, you will not be able to pick who you share the room with.

Is bedding provided?

Bedding is not provided. We recommend bringing a sleeping bag, blanket and any other bedding you might need for the weekend.

Are gender-neutral bathrooms available?

Yes! We will be allocating one bathroom block at the site to be used specifically as a gender-neutral bathroom. This block will have showers and toilets. Anyone of any gender (or lack thereof) is also free to use any other bathroom on site, as long as there are not any complaints or concerns about behaviour.

We’ll contact you before the event with a form you can fill out to indicate your exact requirements for our catering team.

Drugs and Alcohol

What are the alcohol restrictions?

We are pleased to announce that we will be able to allow alcohol at the event this year, after working with our site on a set of rules that we were both happy with.

  • Attendees will be able to bring a maximum of 15 standard drinks for the whole event.
  • Drinks will have to be signed in at registration and tagged by staff.
  • Drinks will be stored by us (the convention staff) in a fridge that won’t be accessable to attendees.
  • You can come and ask us to get one of your drinks if you’d like one.
  • If you’re noticeably intoxicated, we won’t be able to give you any more drinks.
  • Drinks will only be given out between the hours of 7PM and 11PM (we can’t give out drinks while day pass attendees are on-site)

In addition, we have some limits on what drinks are allowed. We are able to allow the following drinks:

  • Standard single-serve bottles (or cans) of beer, cider, or RTDs.
  • Small (airplane-sized, single serve) bottles (or cans) of wine.

All drinks must be in their original (retail) containers.

Don’t get drunk. If you’re intoxicated you will be put in a safe place until you sober up, and you will not be able to consume any more alcohol for the rest of the event.

If you have any more questions, please email us.

What restrictions are there in regards to drugs?

We will not allow any drugs that are not prescription or over the counter. All prescription medicines must be in their original containers unless evidence is provided that it is the same as what your prescription states.

Anything else is prohibited and will be reported to police. We will not allow any illegal substances.

What merchandise will be available?

We’ll have shirts. More details coming soon!
